AU MEME → onsica: rock of ages meets legally blonde

Drew Boley is scouted by a record company for one of his performances at the Bourbon Room, but the company’s record producer dissaproves of Drew’s rocker image and attempts to reshape him to become part of a boy band. Drew, upset by this, seeks a lawyer. And just his luck, he runs into Elle Woods at another local bar. Elle, an aspiring law student, is eager to take the case, as she’s having a hard time getting others to take her seriously as a lawyer, and this would be the perfect opportunity to prove herself. Drew is skeptical initially, given her apperance and demeanor, but eventually agrees after Elle tells him she’s a student at Harvard Law. During their week in court, the two bond albeit being polar opposites, and Elle miraculously wins him the lawsuit. Drew decides to keep Elle around, deciding he doesn’t like being alone, and Elle decides to stick around, deciding that she really likes spending time with Drew and it’s the happiest she’d felt since her break-up with Warner. Gradually, the two fall in love as they help pursue each others’ dreams. Eventually, Elle graduates Harvard, and Drew is scouted by another record company, one that offers more freedoms to its performers. The only catch is, company headquarters were in Portugal and Drew would have to go to them. In the end, the two get what they want, Elle dumps Warners ass and gets a job at a prestigious law firm, Drew decides to stay with Elle in the States and settles for performing night shows at the new Bourbon Room and makes a modest living selling songs he composed to the European record company who wanted to recruit him. He and Elle move into a loft in California, fifteen minutes away from Sunset Strip, and they live happily ever after.
